Letters From the Editors
By Jessica Youseffi and Bracha Ebriani
Just before the flurry of final's week, this special edition was created to commemorate Israel's 60th anniversary this coming Wednesday. Students from all walks of campus have come up and taken a stand on Israel's significance in their own lives.
We are here to examine Israel from all angles and to celebrate it, criticize it and reflect on necessary changes that need to be made in the future.
As a politically active campus, with strong pro-Israel and pro-Palestine factions, we want to create a space so students can say what they really feel about Israel. We hold no bias of our own.
Why should Israel be important to any Jewish member of our campus? Each student analyzes and discusses Israel how Israel matters and how Israel can make a difference in the world Sixty years after May 1948, we choose the means to show our support for the land that was given to our ancestors.
